Bin collection times are back to normal after the Christmas holidays.
A big thanks to the crews from Cleanaway, the company contracted by Council to pick up our bins, for their efforts over the holidays.
The hard-working Cleanaway bin collectors deservedly had Christmas Day and New Year's Day off. This resulted in most bin collections happening the following day over the two-week holiday period as the crews were out and about every other day including a special Saturday pick-up.
There's always going to be the odd bin missed here and there but we've already had reports of residents using the 1300 559 206 Kerbside Enquiry Line with the Cleanaway crews often back within an hour to pick up the missed bin.
So, from today all the bin collection times are back to normal.
You should have also received a bin collection calendar for 2019 in your letter box but if you missed it, you can see a copy below and hard copies are available from the Council offices on Darling Terrace.
