Approved sharps container can be a very expensive product for people who use them regularly.
These are just a few things that can help you in making your sharps container last longer.
These are just a few things that can help you in making your sharps container last longer.
- Syringes can be re-capped with the lid and that end can then be snapped off. The sharp end will need to be placed in the approved container and the rest of the syringe can be placed in your normal rubbish bin.
- Diabetics who use disposable insulin pens for injection can place the caps (needles) in the approved container and the disposable insulin pens (without the needle attached) in your normal rubbish bin.
This will make the use of your approved sharps container less expensive as they will not fill up as quick.
