HMAS Whyalla maintenance

Recently, this photo was taken showing the whip blasting progress on preparation, with painting to begin imminently.

Maintenance works on the HMAS Whyalla are scheduled to begin during the week of 5–8 August and will conclude by the end of the year.
During this time a temporary work zone has now been set up surrounding the ship.
The works will involve repairing and replacing rusted sections of the hull, high-pressure washing and painting the hull.
