Whyalla Boat Ramp Update
Works are progressing with a focus on completing as many precast panels as possible prior to commencing in-water activities. Progress has been managed around concrete availability and recent delays associated with staffing changes at the local concrete plant.
· 9 February: Establishment of Compound 2 adjacent to the boat ramp will commence. Temporary fencing will be installed in a way that maintains public access where required.
· 10 February: Three lanes of the boat ramp will be temporarily closed. Shade cloth will be installed on fencing along the concrete steps to ensure public safety. A silt curtain will also be installed and secured in the water. Delivery of a 35-tonne excavator and a smaller site container is scheduled for the same day.
Whyalla Dredging Update
Dredging works are currently underway and are expected to be completed by the end of next week, weather permitting.
