Theres still time to get involved in the Mental Health Matters Round uniform design competition
Council is reminding the community there’s still time to get involved in the 2026 Mental Health Matters Round (MHMR) Uniform Design Competition, with entries continuing to roll in.
The competition, delivered in partnership with headspace and Centacare, invites community members to design a uniform that will be worn during the 2026 Mental Health Matters Round, an initiative that raises awareness and support for mental health across Whyalla.
Since opening earlier this month, the competition has already attracted a number of designs, showcasing the creativity and passion within the community. Council is encouraging even more people to take part and share their ideas.
Chloe Fisher, Youth Activation Officer said it’s exciting to see the early response, but there is still plenty of time for others to get involved.
“Some fantastic entries have already been submitted, and we’re really encouraged by the creativity we’re seeing so far, and we know there’s even more talent out there in our community, and we’d love to see as many people as possible take part.”
The winning design will be featured as part of the 2026 Mental Health Matters Round, which brings the community together through sport to raise awareness and funds for local mental health initiatives.
