Salty 'Sea'esta is back for Cuttlefest 2024
The much-anticipated Salty 'Sea'esta is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 8, from 3pm to 8pm, at the Ada Ryan Gardens.
This year’s event offers a wide array of free activities and attractions for all ages, helping the entire community get behind the annual Cuttlefest celebration. Explore a selection of market stalls offering crafts and goods, as well as a number of food and beverage vendors. Keep an eye out for our roving artists, who will be adding a touch of magic to the gardens and don’t miss the star of the show, Sparkles the Inflatable Cuttlefish!
To make sure everyone can partake in the festivities, we are pleased to offer a free bus service provided by Des's Cabs. This service will transport you to and from the event, see below for the timetable.

Kids’ zone (FREE!): Packed with activities to keep the little ones entertained, including marine themed craft and colouring activities, face painting, VR goggle tent and balloon art and circus equipment and mats provided by D'faces.
Live entertainment and performances (FREE!): Enjoy performances from talented musicians and artists:
- Lucky Sam: Our fantastic MC for the event.
- Brett Star: A talented fire artist.
- Mel and Me: Performing family favourite songs.
- Gavin Chandler: performing some classics
- Stuntman Jim: performing his Comedy Circus Show
- Roving Artists: Slack Taxi’s “The Shells! Vintage Stilt Swimmers” and Lollipop Lyra, who will be entertaining near the Kids Zone.
- Sparkles the Inflatable Cuttlefish
- Evelyn Roths The Nylon Zoo with Storytime and a children's parade.
- Adelaide Kite Flyers Association will be flying kites from the Whyalla Foreshore during the afternoon and after dark.
