Whyalla City Council is undertaking its next round of significant road upgrades to continue the ongoing improvement of the city’s road network.
This next stage is a $1 million investment, which will likely commence this Sunday* (23 April) (*was previously Thursday) and see almost 20 roads and car parks upgraded with either a spray seal or new asphalt.
Residents directly impacted by the works will receive a notification in their letterboxes prior to work commencing.
The spray sealing will be first up and is expected to take just over a week to complete (including work occurring on ANZAC Day). The asphalt work will then start on 8 May and should also take just over a week. See the list below for detail on the type of work for each area.
Traffic management will be in place throughout this period, so motorists are urged to be aware of / drive to the changed conditions. If you have any queries on particular areas of work, please talk to the traffic management personnel on-site.
