Forged in Steel Music Festival

Delivered by Open Eyre Events, with support from Whyalla City Council, Forged in Steel will serve as the high-impact closing event to our month-long uneARTh Festival, a staple on the Whyalla annual events calendar celebrating arts, culture and community.
Inspired by the grit, industry and proud working history of Whyalla, the event has been built to reflect the strength and character of the city and its people.
The event will be headlined by Australian rock icons The Screaming Jets, joined by These Days, Funk Me, Funky Monks and local Eyre Peninsula artists, creating a lineup that is raw, real and true to the spirit of Whyalla.

With a legacy spanning decades, The Screaming Jets have delivered multiple Top 10 albums and continue to dominate charts, including their 2023 release Professional Misconduct which reached #1 on multiple ARIA and national charts. Known for powerful live performances and fronted by Dave Gleeson, the band remains one of Australia’s most respected touring rock acts.
