Whyalla Library's outreach delivery service brings the Library to you

Whyalla Public Library is reminding the community that it offers much more than books on shelves, with a free Outreach Delivery Service available to residents who may struggle to get into the library.

The program is one of the library’s most under-utilised services, staff select and deliver items such as books, magazines, DVDs, and audiobooks directly to residents’ doors — all free of charge.

Library Coordinator Natalie Williams said the service is about keeping people engaged with the library, “we often hear people say they didn’t know this service even existed. It’s a lifeline for anyone who finds it difficult to visit us in person, and it ensures that everyone in our community can still enjoy everything the library has to offer. It's not just books, we can bring you magazines, DVDs, audiobooks and more, chosen to suit your interests and delivered right to your home.”

The Outreach Delivery Service is tailored to each user, with staff handpicking items based on personal preferences. From the latest novels and popular magazines to family movies and relaxing audiobooks, the service ensures library members can continue to learn, relax and be entertained without leaving home.

Residents can find out more or register themselves or a loved one for the service by contacting the Whyalla Public Library directly.
