Register now for this year's Garage Sale Trail
Registrations are now open for the Garage Sale Trail, which is set to return to Whyalla over two massive weekends on 8–9 and 15–16 November. Now is the perfect time to get involved.
Local residents are encouraged to host their own sale or team up with neighbours for a group sale. You can take part for just one day or make the most of both weekends.
Waste Officer Charuka Sanduni said selling or shopping at garage sales is a fun and simple action we can all take to sustainably reuse our goods and materials. “Garage Sale Trail helps neighbours connect, make some money and keep their good stuff out of landfill.”
Research shows that those holding a sale on the trail make an average of $457. Shopping pre-loved not only saves money but is also good for the planet. From fashion and furniture to cookware, vinyl, kids’ items, tools and more, there’s always something for everyone.
Best of all, the Garage Sale Trail program is free for residents, with plenty of tips and tricks available to help sellers make the most of their sale.
