Nominations extended for Citizen of the Year Awards
Whyalla residents now have extra time to recognise their community champions, with nominations for the Citizen of the Year Awards extended to Saturday, 16 November.
Mayor Phill Stone is encouraging the community to get their nominations in, saying “we’ve only had a handful of entries so far, but not enough. We really need the community to get their nominations in for our unsung heroes,” Mayor Stone said.
“We’ve extended the deadline to November 16 to give everyone an extra chance to get them in. We don’t want a year where we have no nominations — it’s up to you all to make sure our local legends are recognised.”
