Introducing the Council Member Video Profiles
Whyalla City Council is excited to announce the launch of a new series of short video profiles showcasing our elected members, not just as councillors, but as individuals passionate about our community.
These videos highlight the people behind the roles, providing a glimpse into their interests, values, and the driving forces that shape their contributions to Whyalla. These profiles give residents the chance to get to know our councillors.
You can also find out some quirky facts about your councillors, including who is a Penny Farthing enthusiast; who has three foster children; who won South Australian female vocalist of the year; and a host of other interesting tidbits that give each councillor a unique story.
Mayor Phill Stone said the initiative is about strengthening the connection between council and community, “Our councillors are community members, parents, workers, volunteers and neighbours. These profiles are an opportunity for residents to understand who they are, what they care about, and the vision they bring for Whyalla.”
Community members are encouraged to take a few minutes to watch the profiles and discover more about the people shaping Whyalla’s future.
