How you can stay at the forefront of council information
If you’re wanting to get all the latest updates from Whyalla City Council, then don’t rely on social media alone – be sure to check out the host of council channels that are available.
Earlier this year, we launched the Community Works webpage - an information hub providing updates on council works impacting public facilities. The page ensures residents have access to the latest details about ongoing and upcoming projects.
On-site posters featuring QR codes will be placed at work locations, linking directly to the Community Works page, allowing residents to scan and access updates relevant to that particular project. Additionally, the webpage includes a feedback form, allowing residents to share their thoughts and concerns directly with council.
Complementing this initiative, the My Local Services (MLS) app offers push notifications about community projects, events, and council services, delivering updates straight to residents’ mobile phones. You can also subscribe to our email updates to receive the latest news direct to your inbox.
Not every council update will appear on Facebook, so be sure to make use of these channels to stay informed about all of our projects, events, and initiatives. They also provide the ability to leave feedback, so you can still have your opinions and ideas heard, or send through customer requests.
