We’re keen to hear from you – the community – on how we can keep improving the services we deliver to ensure we’re meeting the needs of Whyalla residents. Your feedback will not only be beneficial for the city, it could also win you a great prize!
The Whyalla City Council Annual Community Survey is now open, this year focusing on feedback on our individual services; customer experience; engagement; and liveability.
We want as many residents as possible to fill out the survey, so the results truly reflect the community’s views. To help encourage more people to get involved, we’ve got ten $100 vouchers for Veolia’s Whyalla Waste Transfer Station up for grabs, with all responses going in the draw to win*.
Key aspects being covered in the survey include the community’s:
- Level of satisfaction with specific council services
- Feedback regarding interactions with council in the past 12 months
- Ideas on how council and the community can make Whyalla a better place to live
- Reasons they’re proud to call Whyalla home
There are several ways you can participate, including:
- Completing the online survey here!
- Picking up a physical copy from council’s Civic Building on Grundel Street, or the Whyalla Public Library on Ekblom Street
- Completed surveys can be returned to the same pickup locations
- Coming along to one of the community drop-in sessions
- 11am-1pm this Wednesday 29 October at the Westland food court

We also encourage you to share the survey with your friends, family and colleagues, as we need your help to spread the word and get as many locals involved as possible!
The survey will be open for the next month, closing on Sunday 23 November.
We’ll provide an update on the feedback received and how this will be used to identify improvements throughout 2026 and beyond.
Terms and Conditions
City of Whyalla - Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw
- The City of Whyalla’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Entries into the Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw will be received commencing on 27 October 2025 and closes at midnight ACDT on 23 November 2025.
- The Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw will be drawn by random electronic selection at 10am ACDT on 25 November at the City of Whyalla Civic Building, 21 Grundel Street, Whyalla Norrie.
- Only current residents of the City of Whyalla are eligible to enter (council staff, elected members, volunteers, and their immediate family members are not eligible).
- A person may enter the Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw by completing the survey and providing a valid phone number.
- Winners will be determined by chance by a random electronic number generator.
- All participants in the Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw have an equal chance of winning.
- Ten prizes will be drawn. The value of each prize will not exceed $100 and will be provided in the form of a voucher for the Veolia Waste Transfer Station.
- A list of the drawn prizes and their winners will be displayed or published on the City of Whyalla website for at least seven days after the day on which the prizes were drawn.
- Each prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied or extended or transferred or exchanged for cash.
- The winners will be notified within seven days of the draw, advising them how the prize can be collected.
- The winners will have 90 days to claim their prize.
- Records relating to the Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw will be kept for at least three months after the draw.
- Any additional products or services not included in the prize, but required by the winner, will need to be arranged and paid for by the winner.
- By entering, consent is given to the City of Whyalla to use that person’s name for promotional purposes.
- The City of Whyalla is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising out of, or in any way connected with this promotion and/or the prize.
- By entering the Community Survey Incentive Prize Draw, participants accept these Terms and Conditions.
