Bring your float ideas to life
Whyalla City Council, in collaboration with Whyalla Business and Tourism and HOPE Whyalla, is once again helping local groups bring festive magic to the streets through the 2025 Pageant Float Incentive Program.
The program provides financial or material support to local businesses, schools, sporting clubs, and community groups to help them design and build creative floats for this year’s Whyalla Christmas Pageant, which will take place on Saturday, 29 November.
The initiative aims to make it easier for participants to get involved by assisting with the costs of float construction and decoration, ensuring the pageant continues to grow.
Bec Neilson from HOPE Whyalla said, “This program is a great way to give local groups a bit of a hand to get involved, building a float takes time and resources, so the support can really make a difference. It’s always fantastic to see the community’s creativity come to life on the day.”
Applicants can use the funding for decorations, paint, lights, props, or transport costs associated with moving their float to and from the event.
