The Small Wall Murals Project Coordinator, Teresa Coles has been overwhelmed by the positive public response to the murals as they were completed. ‘’It was great to see people stopping to speak with artists and admire their artwork as it was being created. There was such a variety of artists and styles and they all showcased a unique interpretation and connection to Whyalla and our community icons.’’
Ms. Coles also stated there are plans to further activate the murals ‘’There are plans to link each mural with a QR code to information about the individual artworks and the artists. Enabling locals and visitors to engage with the artwork and discover more about the murals and the success of the Small Wall Mural project.’’
Council is very pleased with the outcome of this project and hope to further activate and continue to add murals around our city.
