uneARTh your March
22 February 2023
Whyalla, the uneARTh Festival is back! This time taking on a new format, with events and activation happening every weekend throughout the month of March.
The official program for 2023 went live today and we are encouraging you all to take a look and start locking in what you’re going to attend and booking your tickets. Visit whyalla.com
Festival Event Coordinator Alyce Wood said she’s really excited about this new format.
“We’ve got events held every Friday and most Saturdays at a variety of venues throughout the town for the entire month. It’s different, it’s fun and there is something for everyone to enjoy this March,” Ms Wood said.
“We’re kicking off uneARTh 2023 with Foreshore Fridays. Every Friday, the Seaview Café and surrounds will be activated with our incredibly located talented musicians performing. These events are free, with the Seaview Café open and offering yummy food and drinks – including a licensed bar.
“Bring your picnic rugs and come and begin your weekend by enjoying our beautiful foreshore festival vibe.”
And there’s loads more on offer for the month. It’s time to join in and Wash Your Face With Orange Juice and fix the fence with sticky tape with one of Australia’s most loved children’s entertainers - Peter Combe. Peter will be performing his Wash Your Kids In Orange Juice show for families at the Middleback Arts Centre on Saturday March 4 and bringing an adult only experience, Big Kids Night Out With Peter Combe, which will be held at O Kipos. Expect all the songs we know and love, mixed in with a bit of adult humour and the very much-loved O Kipos vibe!

O Kipos will also be holding their SOLD out Greek Night. If you missed tickets for Greek Night, you can still enjoy the Greek Festival with O Kipos open all weekend celebrating..... Opa!
For one night only, we will summon the mess of all messes to the D'faces hall and enjoy a night of craft workshops, music, and fun with the Glittery Bits- Craft Party presented by D’faces of Youth Arts. It’s an all-ages event, with attendees encouraged to dress to impress to win door prizes and let loose and create glittery magic!

The Whyalla Left Hand Club will be hosting a number of events for the month, including Friday night open mic nights, along with the return of George Glass, performing George Glass: Bradbury The Musical. If you love blues music, be sure to get tickets to see Ray Beadle – The Streamliners – Mojo Webb. This trio will play homage to many blues artists, as well as highlighting their own original songs. And just to mix things up, they’ll also have the Beautiful Bogan Marc Ryan, who returns to Whyalla as part of his Fringe tour for a night of adult only comedy with Not here to F*** Spiders.

If it’s comedy you’re after, head along to South Whyalla Football Club for Faulty Towers the Dining Experience. You’ll join Basil, Sybil and Manuel as they serve up mayhem on a plate, alongside a 3-course meal and two hours of non-stop laughter!
To finish off the month of festival events, D‘Faces will host the Big Pink and Red Party. Join Carla Anita Mattiazzo for her show stopping five-star fringe show PERIOD, accompanied by performances from the D'faces Senior Performance Troupe in their new work, The Spaces Between, and music by local talent. The Pink and Red bar will be opened, with charcuterie boards available to purchase.
