Fundraising opportunity for not-for-profit community/ sporting groups

Are you a not-for-profit community/sporting group and interested in collecting the 10c bottle and cans from events organised by council?
Bottles and cans disposal/collection points will be established by council at each event to reduce valuable materials ending up in landfill.
Council will then donate these to eligible not-for-profit community/ sporting groups at the conclusion of these events.
It will be the responsibility of the group to collect the cans/bottles from the specific event at the agreed conclusion time. The group will need to supply their own bags/ containers and gloves to transfer the bottle and cans from the collection points.
Different applicants will be given the opportunity to collect the refundable cans and bottles at different events- under the discretion of Council Waste Officers.
The first opportunity for collection will be at the FREE community event for Cuttlefest - The Salty Sea’esta, being held in Ada Ryan Gardens on Saturday 8 July from 3pm – 9pm. The collection time for this event will be at 9.15pm. The selected group must be available to collect from all the containers at 9.15pm.
