Final road upgrades
The final stage of Whyalla City Council’s road upgrade program for this financial year will see numerous roads upgraded with new asphalt from next week.
This $1 million investment is part of Council’s ongoing improvement of the city’s road network.
The asphalt work – which was previously scheduled for last month – will now start on 19 June and should take just over a week. See the list below for detail on the specific areas being upgraded.
Residents directly impacted by the works will receive a notification in their letterboxes prior to work commencing.
Traffic management will be in place throughout this period, so motorists are urged to be aware of / drive to the changed conditions. If you have any queries on particular areas of work, please talk to the traffic management personnel on-site.
Council will continue to provide updates throughout this period.
Further upgrades are slated for the 2023/24 financial year, with more detail also to come on these works.
