The HMAS Whyalla has recently had some much needed TLC with a series of capital works completed over the last few months to tidy the landlocked beauty up.
The HMAS Whyalla has been weather proofed, had rust treatment, abrasive blasting and re-coating of the top and upper deck. A new non-slip walkway was also installed along the edges for staff and visitor safety.
These works were made possible thanks to Council receiving a $105K grant through the LRCI (Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program)
The capital works project on the HMAS Whyalla is now completed and we encourage you to book in for a tour with the Whyalla Visitor Information Centre (VIC) staff to take a look.
Tours run daily (except on Good Friday and Christmas Day) at 11.30am and 1.30pm. Contact the VIC team to book Ph. +61 8 8645 7900 Toll free 1800 088 589 or Email.
