Cuttlefest well under way!

The annual Australian Giant Cuttlefish (Sepia Apama) migration is now well and truly underway in the coastal waters near Stony Point.
These ‘chameleons of the sea’ are one of the largest species of cuttlefish found, reaching up to 60cm in length and weighing up to 5kg.
Every year between May and August, they come in their tens of thousands to mate and reproduce, in the process creating an amazing spectacle of cunning games, predation, underwater light shows and colourful kaleidoscopic displays.
There are many ways that you can view this phenomenon in and out of the water.
Whyalla Diving Services offer guided snorkelling and diving tours along with equipment hire. Head to their website to find out more.
Looking for an experience where you can stay warm and dry and view these creatures from above the surface? Jump online and check out Cuttys Glass Bottom Boat Tours. You can climb onboard the Glass Bottom Boat or book in and take an Accessible Tour onboard the ‘Top Gun.’
