Black point staircase project
The Black point Staircase project has progressed, the new stairs now available for use! The old stairs will be removed within the next couple of weeks and the new pergola and viewing deck will be installed next month, with works scheduled to be complete by the end of November.
As part of the Cuttlefish Coast Sanctuary Tourism and Conservation Project, the project involves the removal of the existing timber staircase and supplying and installing the new recycled plastic staircase complete with a sheltered viewing platform. All the cutting and predrilling is done off site to minimise any plastic swarf created on-site during construction.

Children's Week
Celebrations for Children's Week were in full swing at Whyalla Public Library.
With over a dozen community groups and early childhood services onsite sharing information and experiences including emergency vehicles, 'goop' obstacle courses, Kanga Gym, balloon twisting, face painting and of course Story Time.
Everyone enjoyed the story Dinosaur Dig by Penny Dale. It had dinosaurs, dirt, vehicles and even some counting. To bring the story to life, the outside activity had sand, cars and you guessed it, dinosaurs!
