Citizen of the Year Awards 2024

The annual awards celebrate the city’s many generous residents and achievers, who give up their time to give back to the community.
The awards will feature the citizen, young citizen, senior citizen and community achievement awards up for grabs. They recognise individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to the Whyalla community throughout the year or demonstrated outstanding service for a number of years and are excellent role models.

Bin Collection

There is going to be a slight variation to your usual kerbside collection days over the holiday period (December 25 - January 6). There will be no bin pick-ups on Christmas Day and New Year's Day as they occur on a Monday, therefore collections will occur a day later than usual. Please refer to the table below to see when you need to put your bin out over the next two weeks.
