Max, Nikhil and Bodhi with thumbs up for the big weekend of footy!
Whyalla certainly turned it on for a successful weekend of events, with more than 5000 people attending the 2022 Think! Road Safety SA Country Championships and a host of Cuttlefest activities.
The city came alive with accommodation providers booked out and the restaurants and cafes bustling with locals and visitors getting out and about enjoying the offerings.
The weekend was headlined by the Cuttlefest Community Event – supported by OPTUS – which was well attended with families enjoying the extreme games, face painting and kite-making activities; while more than 4000 attended the SANFL League clash between the Adelaide Crows and North Adelaide.
Other key events included Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries holding a sold-out Science In The Pub night; and snorkelling with the Giant Australian Cuttlefish, which also proved popular over the weekend.
We thank all of those that were involved in making the weekend’s events such a success – the many volunteers, organisations and businesses that supported the activities and helped to showcase and celebrate our city to thousands of visitors.
And here’s a taste of what else is on offer around town:-
