Time's running out to have your say on the future of YOUR foreshore!

Want to help decide how your foreshore is developed? Then get in quick before the draft foreshore master plan survey closes next Monday (October 18)!

Foreshore Master Plan Survey

Whyalla's draft foreshore master plan has been publicly available for over a month, with thousands of residents viewing the plan online and commenting on our Facebook page.

We now need that interest to be taken to the next level by residents taking the survey and officially lodging their thoughts on how they want to see the area developed over the coming years.

This upgrade needs to represent the community’s priorities and expectations - we can only achieve this if residents provide their feedback via the survey, ensuring we know what you like about the current proposals and what you want to see prioritised.

The survey only takes a few minutes - just click your preferred options, highlight any 'must-haves' in the comments, and you're done.

It's not often you get a chance to help influence how your city is developed, so make sure you don't miss this rare opportunity!

As well as the link above, there are a number of ways that residents can have their say:

  • Check out our website or Facebook page
  • Scan the QR code found on posters around the city
  • Visit our Civic Building, library or Visitor Information Centre to secure a physical copy of the survey and the draft plan
  • Provide your feedback direct by emailing foreshore.masterplan@whyalla.sa.gov.au; phoning 8640 3444; or visiting our Civic Building on Darling Terrace

The survey closes on Monday October 18.

Some of the key aspects of the draft plan include:

  • Unique cuttlefish-themed splash park
  • A discovery and information centre
  • Diverse pop-up commercial sites (including evening activities)
  • Connections between the foreshore, Hummock Hill and main street precinct
  • Private investment
