Kerbside Waste Collection Changeover
Whyalla residents may notice a change in logos on the kerbside waste collection vehicles from this Friday, as Veolia takes over the contract from Cleanaway.
Veolia was the kerbside collection provider for Whyalla City Council from 2007 to 2014 and also currently operates the Waste Transfer Station.
There will be no major changes to the service, with pick-up days, routes, and collection week order for yellow and green-lidded bins remaining the same. The existing 2021 kerbside collection calendar also remains relevant.
However, residents are encouraged to have their bins at the kerbside by 7am on the day of collection to avoid being missed, as any bins not presented in time will not be collected. Putting them out the night before is a guaranteed way to ensure you don’t miss out!
