Have Your Say on Council
It’s that time of year again, with Whyalla City Council once again seeking feedback on its performance and how it can improve to ensure it’s meeting the needs of the community.
Last year was the first time the survey was conducted, providing council with a baseline of its performance in the eyes of the community. This year’s survey will cover the same areas, helping demonstrate where council has improved or needs to focus more effort.
Key aspects being covered include the community’s:
- Pride in their city
- Use of local parks, gardens, public buildings and coastline
- Views on whether they would recommend Whyalla as a place to live or do business
- Satisfaction with the services delivered by council
Several new questions have also been added this year, seeking community feedback on council’s communication regarding its activities, and how they would like to receive updates. There are also optional demographic questions to help council gain a greater level of detail regarding the people responding (ie suburb, age etc).
Council is keen to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure the survey is truly reflective of the broader community’s views. There are a number of ways you can participate, including:
- Heading straight to the online survey (see link above)
- Via council’s website or Facebook page
- Picking up a physical copy from council’s Civic Building, library, Visitor Information Centre or child care centre
- Contacting council direct on 8640 3444 or council@whyalla.sa.gov.au to request a copy
We also encourage you to share the survey with your friends / family / colleagues to help spread the word and get as many locals involved as possible.
Council will provide an update on the feedback received and how this will be used to identify improvements throughout 2022.
