Council Lobbying for Aged Care Support
Whyalla City Council is calling for the community and all levels of government to work together in finding solutions to the closure of the Annie Lockwood facility.
Council shares the concerns of the community – empathising with those impacted by the closure – and will do what we can to assist.
“This privately owned and operated facility is incredibly important to our community, both now and into the future,” Mayor McLaughlin said.
“The facility needs to secure additional funding and staffing in order to reopen. As such, we have commenced lobbying the Federal and State government to assist with fast-tracking this so we can all work towards a better outcome for our aged care residents.”
