ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE
Summer by the Sea
I, Justin Commons, Chief Executive Officer, for and on behalf of Council, hereby exercise the authority delegated by the Minister of Transport under Section 11 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, and make the following order under Section 33 of the Act.
1. I declare that the ‘Summer by the Sea’ is an event to which Section 33 of the Act applies; and
2. Make an order to:
(a) close the Jetty Carpark to traffic from February to end of June 2021 between the hours of 5:00am and 11:00pm
(b) exempt patrons in this area when it is closed to traffic from Australian Road Rules 230 (Crossing a road – general), 234 (Crossing a road on or near a crossing for pedestrians) and 238 (Pedestrians travelling along a road.
