School Holiday fun at Whyalla Maritime Museum
Its school holiday time and the Whyalla Maritime Museum has some fun, safe family-friendly activities on offer right through from Saturday 12 December 2020 until Sunday 31 January 2021.
This is a decoding mission – should you choose to accept!
The ‘Aussie Animal Adventure’ is a great activity that can be enjoyed from 10am – 4pm every day of the school holidays, including weekends. Pick up your information sheet and decoding key from the friendly staff at the Visitor Centre and let the adventure begin.

Essington Lewis Ave roadworks reminder
Council would like to advise that the kerbing works on Essington Lewis Avenue are now complete.
However, there are still changed traffic conditions between Cudmore Terrace & Elliott Street adjacent the hospital with a reduced speed limit through this zone and warning signage erected. Current parallel parking will remain in place until the end of January when we expect Boral to begin their asphalt road seal program. Immediately following the road seal in this zone, new parking bays will be painted. The public will be advised closer to the time as there will need to be a road closure to complete these works.
In the meantime, drivers are urged to please be aware of the changed conditions and drive appropriately to these conditions.
Once this project is complete there will be almost double the amount of available parking spaces, resulting in safer access to the hospital, reduced parking congestion and improved safety in this area.
Whyalla Foreshore re-activation

If you can offer fantastic food and would like to be part of the re-activation of Whyalla’s Foreshore over the school holiday and festive period, we would love to hear from you!
Please click here to complete a simple online Expression of Interest. Make sure to include your business type, food offerings, dates you would like to trade and contact details.
