One day jetty closure for scheduled cleaning
The Whyalla jetty will be CLOSED to the public from 7am to 5pm on Wednesday 16 December.
This closure is necessary so that scheduled high-pressure cleaning can take place.
Our fabulous new walking and fishing jetty has been open for 3 months and it’s getting lots of use, clocking up over 500 visitors per day.
The fishing’s been great and lots of people have caught squid, which has left some unsightly marks on the jetty surface.
This one-day closure for scheduled cleaning will make sure that our jetty is looking its best for the upcoming Christmas period.
Signage will be in place on the day to advise the jetty closure.
Council thanks the community for their understanding and patience while the scheduled jetty cleaning takes place.
