LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY: The section of Cudmore Terrace where SA Water crews are fixing a broken pipe.
Friday, September 13, 2019 - 9.30am
Traffic is restricted to local residents on a section of Cudmore Terrace and Jamieson Street, near Ada Ryan Gardens, while SA Water workers fix a broken water pipe.
This also means the public toilets in Ada Ryan Gardens are without water and closed to the public.
SA Water crews fixed a leak in this area on Wednesday this week but the excavation had sunk due to dampness and the heavy volume of sightseeing traffic on this road when the fire broke out on the old jetty on Wednesday afternoon.
SA Water crews carried out some extra compaction yesterday and finished that around 2pm but there were indications about 3.30pm yesterday afternoon that the pipe had broken back further from the repaired section.
SA Water is hoping to have the pipe fixed, and the water back on, early this afternoon.
