The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting 41 degrees today in Whyalla with one more hot day to come.
It's tipped to reach 48 tomorrow (Friday December 20) but hopefully a cool change later in the day
The City of Whyalla reminds residents to take every measure to keep themselves, their families and pets safe in this heat wave.
There are cool places in Whyalla to escape the heat like the library on Ekblom Street, the Council offices on Darling Terrace (if you get caught short in the city and need a glass of water) or the major shopping centres around the city.
