Whyalla has a great filmmaking opportunity these school holidays for those with a learning disability.

If you are a filmmaker with learning disability or a young person with learning disability who is passionate about film, Tutti Art is inviting you to a week-long workshop in Whyalla starting on Monday, September 30.

As part of the Sit Down Shutup and Watch Film & New Media Festival, “Dream It Screen It” is a workshop where people can learn how to create a short film to be submitted and possibly shown at short film festivals.

Council’s Arts and Cultural Facilitator, Deb Hughes said it was a rare opportunity for Whyalla.

“Some of those on the committee running this workshop have been to international film festivals and had some amazing experiences due to their involvement,” Deb said.

“Those people with a passion for film will learn so much and be inspired by these workshops.”

An example of the work by the committee can be seen in Lorcan Hopper's latest work at https://bit.ly/2m7AXQa

The Whyalla workshops are free and supported by the City of Whyalla, Country Arts SA, the Australian Government Regional Art Fund and Whyalla’s D’Faces.
