HE'S COMING BACK: Santa will again be a highlight at this year's GFG Alliance Whyalla Christmas Pageant and After Pageant Fair.

Mark down Saturday, November 30 in your diary for the GFG Alliance Whyalla Christmas Pageant and After Pageant Party.
Presented by the Whyalla Apex Club, with support from the City of Whyalla, this year’s event has already attracted a dozen float entries and several stall holder applications for the After Pageant Party.
Damien Trenwith, from the Whyalla Apex Club, said the float entries were a flying start to the preparations and the most they’ve ever had at this time of the year.
“It’s great to have 12 float entries and we’re had a few different stall holder applications as well … people and stalls we haven’t seen before,” Damien said.
“Along with the live entertainment, we’re going to have Triple Y at the After Pageant Party doing live crosses and interviews.
“The activities for the kids are all free including the three jumping castles this year and a new maze activity for kids and parents.
“Of course, Santa is again going to be the highlight in the pageant and at the after pageant party in Ada Ryan Gardens.”
Unfortunately, due to rising costs, there won’t be any fireworks this year.
GET INVOLVED: You don't need a float to enter the pageant.
It is, however, free to take part in the pageant whether you’ve got a float or not. The pageant is open to any community group, sporting group, school groups, businesses and any group of friends who want to get together and have some fun. The popular toy run will again roar into action before the main pageant parade.
“Now is the time to start thinking about getting your group together and creating a float,” Damien said.
“We get a lot of great floats but it’s just as entertaining to have sporting groups and others get their uniforms or fancy dress on and join in the pageant march.”
