BARGAIN BOOKS: The Whyalla Public Library's Janet Ashman and Natalie Williams gear up for their book sale as part of the Garage Sale Trail.
Whyalla's Garage Sale Trail keeps on growing with many different people, groups and organisations registering for the big event on the weekend of October 19-20.
The Whyalla Public Library is one of more than 300 that have registered for the massive city-wide garage sale but they are getting in early.
The library will be selling hundreds of books on Sunday, October 13 from 1-4pm for just $1 each. Any they don't sell will go to the D'Faces Garage Sale Trail event the following weekend.
So the double opportunity to grab a bargain book fits in nicely with the Garage Sale Trail's "reuse and recycle" theme.
What can be more reusable than a good book?
So get an early start on the Garage Sale Trail in Whyalla and drop into the libary on Ekblom Street on Sunday, October 13 to pick up some bargain reading.
There will be everything from fiction to non-fiction, novels to hardbacks and large print books.
The nationwide Garage Sale Trail is about about residents and community groups putting secondhand first to reduce waste, the number of new products made and the overall impact of stuff on the planet. Registrations are free and open now for households, schools, community groups and anyone who is up for a weekend of fun
