ALL ABOUT WHYALLA: Visitor Centre officers Danielle Edwards and Fee Moellner show off the new tea towel at the Whyalla Visitior and Information Centre.
The Whyalla Visitor and Information Centre is cleaning up when it comes to spreading the word about our great city.
The visitor centre, on Lincoln Highway next to the big ship, has just received its new souvenir tea towels that are spreading the word about Whyalla and all the things that are great about our place.
The tea towels are in the “bus roll” design with a huge list of attractions and iconic features in Whyalla. They add to the already popular dolphin and cuttlefish tea towels.
Not only designed for Whyalla visitors, who can tick off the attractions they visit, Visitor Centre Team Leader Teresa Coles said they were getting heaps of locals coming to buy them as gifts for friends and relatives and themselves.
“What our locals love and connect with, our visitors do too,” Teresa said.
Visitor Services Officer Danielle Edwards said people were commenting how cool and unique they were and they were "all about Whyalla”.
“We love them, we’ve been selling to them to visitors and locals as they look for something iconic to give as a gift," Danielle said.
“We’d like to think Whyalla is now front and centre in kitchens across Australia and beyond ... that has to be good for our city.”
The tea towels are 100 per cent cotton and retail for just $16.95. They can be found only at the Whyalla Visitor Centre which is open 7 days, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, weekends and public holidays 10am to 4pm and closed only on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
