Monday, December 30, 2019

Whyalla Police have advised Council that the Middleback Road between Todd Rd and Puddle Holes Dam Rd is closed due to a fire in the vicinity and near the Iron Duke mine.

The fire was initially threatening the Lincoln Highway but due to a change in wind direction it is now heading north towards the Middleback Road.

Council staff are now in the process of putting up road closure signs at the Todd and Puddle Holes Dam roads intersections with Middleback Road. It is a Tier 1 road closure with only emergency services vehicles allowed in the area.
