This weekend's RSPCA Million Paws Walk in Whyalla has been postponed.

The walk was going to be held at the Jim Pollock Whyalla Wetlands this Sunday (May 19) but predicted thunderstorms this weekend have forced it to be rescheduled.

The Whyalla RSPCA Million Paws Walk will now be held on Sunday, May 26, from 9am to 1pm at the wetlands. Nothing else changes, there will still be a barbecue, drinks available and meals and coffee at the Sumthin' Tastee wetlands cafe.

Million Paws Walk is the RSPCA’s biggest annual event, with all funds raised going back into our Whyalla Animal Care Centre. Its national cause is to be a voice for the voiceless, and to do everything in its power to protect animals from cruel and inhumane treatment.

"From ensuring that our Whyalla Animal Care Centre always has room for the animals that need us, and to developing our outreach programs," an RSPCA spokespersonsaid.

"The funds raised during Million Paws Walk allow the Whyalla Animal Care Centre to continue and develop our many services within our community."

"Join us on Sunday 26th May and walk your dog at the Jim Pollock Whyalla Wetlands from 9.00am - 1.00pm."
