Here's a chance for all artists to dive into CuttleFest 2019, have your work on display and put yourself in the running for a snorkel adventure.

CuttleFest 2019 organisers are inviting aspiring artists to enter the 2019 CuttleFest Art Prize. It calls for cuttlefish or other local marine based artwork to be displayed at the Middleback Arts Centre (MAC) foyer from June 17 to July 22.

The winning entry, as voted by the public, will receive a double guided snorkel adventure pass provided by Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries (EMS) with other prizes on offer.

Council Arts and Cultural Facilitator, Deb Hughes said the competition was a chance to be creative and be involved in CuttleFest.

"The cuttlefish are so amazing and colourful, they are the perfect subject for artists," Deb said.

"We are really looking forward to seeing some spectacular artworks in this competition and it will make for a great display at the MAC.

"Even better we want you, the public, to enjoy these works and decide the winners."

Entry forms must be received by 5pm, Friday June 8, 2019. Artworks need to be delivered by the artist or artist’s agent to the box office of the Middleback Arts Centre between 12pm Wednesday June 12 and 5pm Friday June 15 and collected from the same point in the week starting Monday July 22.
