ENJOYING THE NIGHT: Councillor Tamy Pond with Council staff Jenny Barnes, Graeme Stephenson, Fiona Moellner, Danielle Edwards, Argiri Kotsomitis and Jane Richard at the opening night of Beauty and the Beast.

Graeme “Red” Stephenson was one of those Council employees present and he loved the performance. As a musician around town himself, Red was particularly impressed with the live orchestra.

“This was a first for me, attending this sort of show, and I really enjoyed it,” Red said.

“The amount of production that went into it with the amazing costumes and performances was amazing.

“It was a real ‘wow’ moment to see and hear the live orchestra playing.

“Congratulations to the Whyalla Players, they did it really well … it made my day.”

Beauty and the Beast continues tonight (Friday August 30) at the Middleback Arts Centre from 7.30pm. There are two more sessions on Saturday (August 31) at 1.30pm and 7.30pm.
