The City of Whyalla will be conducting a "Come and Try Day" this weekend for the beach wheelchairs and beach matting.
Whyalla now has three beach wheelchairs and 40m of beach matting to make it easier for those in wheelchairs, walkers and prams to access the beach at the foreshore. In conjunction with the Whyalla Beach Access Group (WBAG), Council has now cleared the way for the wheelchairs to be used.
The chairs and mats will be available to try from 9am until 1pm on Sunday, December 15. Look out for the accessible beach sandwich boards, near the Surf Life Saving Club.
Sunday's Come and Try Day follows Saturday's orientation and training day for beach wheelchair and matting volunteers.
