The Whyalla Dog Park will be closed this Thursday for weed spraying.
Council crews will be spraying to eliminate lawn clover and prevent burrs which can cause problems for dogs when they get stuck in their fur, ears and paws.
Subject to favourable conditions, the park will be closed from 6am on Thursday, June 27 and will re-open on Friday, June 28 at 6am. Council workers can’t spray if it is too windy or wet.
The park will be perfectly safe for pets and their owners on Friday morning after the spraying.
Council thanks dog owners in advance for their understanding. This is vital work that will keep our great dog park a pleasant and safe place for all.
The dog park is on the corner of Searle Street and McLennan Avenue.
