We’re getting everyone to colour-in our 2018 Whyalla uneARTh Festival mascot … now we need a name for him/her.

City of Whyalla Business Service Operator Pete Santucci has been working his magic in constructing this little fella that follows the theme of the Adelaide Fringe Festival mascot. The Whyalla uneARTh Festival happens after the Adelaide event with many of its entertainers coming to Whyalla for our award-winning event.

08unearthIf you need a few ideas, Pete’s creation has been made to look like he or she is made of Whyalla’s most famous export … steel. But don’t let that sway you completely.

He is also working on an uber-sized version (tipped to be about 3m tall) which will carry the same name.

To help with your creativity, we’re offering a double cinema pass to the Middleback Arts Centre (MAC) for the person who comes up with the winning name.

You can go back to our Facebook page to enter your name in the comments, send it to council@whyalla.sa.gov.au or come in to the Council offices in Civic Building on Darling Terrace to see the dog and place your entry.

Those that want to enter the colouring-in competition, where we have three double cinema passes up for grabs, can get the colouring-in sheet from the MAC or download it at http://bit.ly/2BwZ6W6
