NO RIGHT TURNS: The roadwork on the intersection of Nicolson Avenue and Racecourse Road.
Work on the intersection of Racecourse Road and Nicolson Avenue has finished for the day and will recommence on Wednesday, September 12.
Repair work is being done on the surface between the paved area and the road on the Nicolson Avenue half of the intersection. Traffic had pushed the pavers from Racecourse Road into the road surface causing a raised ridge in the road surface of Nicolson Avenue.
Work has been completed on half of the intersection to allow traffic flow. Overnight, and until further notice, there will be no right turn from Racecourse Road on to Nicolson Avenue and no right turn from Nicolson Avenue on to Racecourse Road.
There is a detour in place for those wishing to turn right on to Racecourse Road from Nicolson Avenue. Speed restrictions of 25kmh are also in place and motorists are asked to take care and be patient.
Restrictions will remain in place tonight and tomorrow to allow concrete to set with Council crews scheduled to start work again on Wednesday.
