Council continuing the fight against vandalism

The City of Whyalla is continuing it's campaign against vandalism and crime and is encouraging residents to report every incident to police.

Council estimates the cost of cleaning up after graffiti and other vandalism is costing about $250,000 a year.

"This is ratepayers money that could be spent on other community facilities," said Council Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chris Cowley.

"Council encourages residents to report any incident they see to either Council or the police," he said.

Reports can be made via email to council@whyalla.sa.gov.au or by calling 8640 3444.
