The City of Whyalla is holding a public meeting on Wednesday June 13 for public consultation on the 2018-19 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget.

The City of Whyalla will be holding a public meeting next week to hear submissions on the 2018-19 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget.

The meeting will be held at the Whyalla Public Library on Wednesday, June 13 starting at 6.30pm.

At the meeting, Council CEO Chris Cowley will present an overview of the draft business plan and budget. Those people that have put forward submissions and questions on the draft plan and budget will then have the chance to speak.

The meeting will then be open for questions from the public.

“This is a good chance for the public to come along and find out more about the draft plan and budget,” Mr Cowley said.

“All the information supporting the draft business plan and budget is available online and at the front counter to give people all the facts and an insight into the decision-making process.

“Most importantly, this is part of the public consultation process and the opportunity for people to present submissions.

“We urge people to become part of the consultation process that goes into planning for our city and its future.”

Submissions and questions on the draft plan and budget can be submitted until June 19 with an online form or via email council@whyalla.sa.gov.au and also at the Civic Building front counter.

Those wishing to speak at the public meeting in support of their submissions need to tick the relevant box on the online submission form or contact the council office via email council@whyalla.sa.gov.au or by phone (8640 3444) by June 8.

Community consultation on the 2018-19 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget started on May 29.
