RESTRICTIONS: The pageant route and associated roadblocks.
The City of Whyalla advises there will be road closures and traffic restrictions for the GFG Alliance Whyalla Christmas Pageant and associated festivities on Saturday, November 24, 2018.
The road closures along the pageant route will happen between the hours of 3pm and 6:30pm with some road restrictions and parking controls near the Ada Ryan Gardens pageant destination and venue for the After Pageant Fair.
The pageant preparations start at 4pm for a 5pm start and approximate 6pm finish at Ada Ryan Gardens.
Parking controls will be in place along Cudmore Terrace (from Jamieson Street and Delprat Terrace) from 8am to 6.30pm to alleviate congestion and provide a safe viewing and festive environment for the community.
Your support is greatly appreciated by ensuring that any vehicles coming from, or visiting, your property are parked off the street from 8am until 6:30pm.
There will be restricted access to the marina and breakwaters for boaties, motorists and pedestrians from 8.30pm and 9.30pm for the setting up of fireworks. The display is scheduled for 8.45pm.
City Plaza (Patterson Street) will be closed from 6pm to 8pm for the City Plaza Traders Christmas street party.

Roads closed between 3pm and 6.30pm for the pageant route and no on-street parking
- Wood Terrace (Butler Street to Whitehead Street)
- Forsyth Street (Essington Lewis Avenue to Darling Terrace)
- Patterson Street (Darling Terrace to Jamieson Street)
- Jamieson Street (Patterson Street to Cudmore Terrace)
- Cudmore Terrace (Jamieson Street to Delprat Terrace)
- Delprat Terrace (Cudmore Terrace to Gay Street)
- Buttlingara Way
Road closed between 6pm and 8pm for the traders’ Christmas party
- Patterson Street (City Plaza)
Marina and southern breakwater closed between 6pm and 8pm
- No access in or out of the marina for boaties
- No access to the southern or sea-facing breakwater for pedestrians
- Restricted access to the marina carpark
No on-street parking between 8am and 6.30pm
- Cudmore Terrace (between Jamieson Street and Delprat Terrace)
