The City of Whyalla advises that the big oval at Jubilee Park will be closed on Friday for weed spraying.
Council crews will be spraying to eliminate lawn clover and burrs on the big oval. The small oval will still be available and will be safe to use during spraying on big oval.
Subject to favourable conditions, the big oval will be closed from 6am on Friday, June 28 and will re-open on Saturday, June 29 at 6am. Council workers can’t spray if it is too windy or wet.
Council will have signs up and will be advising the public not to use the big oval while spraying is taking place. The oval will be perfectly safe for public use on Saturday morning after the spraying.
