The City of Whyalla advises that the big oval at Jubilee Park will be closed on Wednesday for weed spraying.
Council crews will be spraying to eliminate lawn clover and burrs on the big oval. The small oval will still be available and will be safe to use during spraying on big oval.
This work was originally scheduled for Friday, June 29 but was postponed due to the windy conditions.
Subject to favourable conditions, the big oval will be closed from 6am on Wednesday, July 3 and will re-open on Thursday, July 4 at 6am.
Council will have signs up and will be advising the public not to use the big oval while spraying is taking place. The oval will be perfectly safe for public use from Thursday morning after the spraying.
